My friend Carl

I sat with my friend Carl the hummingbird for over an hour this weekend, we had a great time chatting about life. He's got a small view of the world but has a lot to say about his life in meadows of Red Feather Lakes CO. He's very worried about how hot and dry it is and there's been a lot of people ignoring the fire bans. He's extremely worried about the safety of his nest and food supply. Carl and I have been friends for 3 years now, every June he comes back to the same bush in our meadow to say hi.
