Whispers in the Woods

There’s an eerie quite in these wood but you can almost hear a faint whisper of the man who once lived here in the woods

This is the former home of George Robert Strauss built in the 1860s and was the location of his final demise. In 1904 at the age of 73 a flood surged over the banks of the Cache la Poudre River stranding the famer and ultimately taking his life.
