Rocky Mountain National Park - Five Lake Expedition
A beautiful adventure begins on a sunny Veterans day off. I randomly decided that morning after dropping the kids off a the bus to set out for a hike in Rocky Mountain National park.
I arrived at the Bear Lake trail head elevation 9,475ft, on the way up to Nymph, Dream, and Emerald lakes.
Nymph Lake 9,710ft above sea level
Dream Lake elevation 9,910 ft
Emerald Lake elevation 10,110 ft
On the way back down from Emerald Lake A fellow photographer had been confronted by a very persistent chipmunk that demanded food before you could pass.
Amazing Ice formations on the creak between Dream Lake and Nymph
Stopping by Bear Lake elevation 9,475ft
Not a lot of photos here, it was crowded, my feet were sore and I needed food!

It was a fantastic day of fresh air, amazing sights and meeting some amazing hikers along the trails. This was such a great way to recharge and enjoy a rare day off by myself.
